After DNS server installation, DNS daemon configuration may be necessary.
This is so unless the server will run on an immutable zones (recommended).
As an example I'll be working with the business.corp domain.
Here are the fundamental steps:
- Define a DNS internal root and the Internal DNS servers.
Later on, address the external DNS requirements.
Possible types of root domain "." configuration: - External (DNS root hints);
- Internal (DNS internal root).
- Set the DNS loopback zone configuration (recommended);
- Define the DNS configuration file;
- Define the DNS zone data.
